IN THIS EXTRAORDINARY WORLD WE LIVE IN,  I WANT TO SHARE A SIMPLE STORY. 

THE VIEW OF MY SON AT 4 YEARS OF AGE .

IT GOES LIKE THIS, ONE MORNING ON OUR WALK TO SCHOOL TY LOOKS UP AT ME AND SAY"S....

MOM IM TIRED OF CARRYING YOUR HAND, I LOOK DOWN AT THIS LITTLE KID IN ASTONISHMENT...."LOVE YOU AREN'T CARRYING MY HAND, IM HOLDING YOUR HAND.

TY LOOKS UP WITH LITTLE PERPLEXED LOOK AND WITHOUT HESITATION SAID NO MOM I"M CARRYING YOUR HAND , CAN I LET IT GO NOW?

THIS LITTLE INTERACTION BETWEEN ME AND MY SON WAS MORE ENLIGHTENING THAN ANY OF THE HUNDREDS OF BOOKS I HAVE EVER READ ON THE SUBJECT.

MANTRA

The word MANTRA originates from late 18th century SANSKRIT, literally a though, thought behind speech or action, from 'man - think' related to mind and 'tra' which means transport.

MANTRAS can be seen as seeds, a powerful energy with magical or spiritual efficiency when chanted and meditated upon.

This morning in my yoga class we chanted a Manta that I wanted to share with you. In a time that extremist rules,the world is divided and peace is just a word, this chant is the only thing that made sense to me.

Even if MANTRAS and CHANTS are not your thing, keep reading with a open mind and heart and until you hear the meaning have no judgement.

Both mystical and powerful in its meaning.

MYSTICAL: The interplay between light and leaves when sunlight shines through.

POWERFUL:  Melancholic longing or nostalgia for a person, place or thing far away,

 Little did I realise this pastime since childhood just chilling under a tree transfixed  by the little particles of energy and light bouncing shimmering and dancing with the movement of the leaves has a name and explanation for its ability to fill me with a rush of unexpected emotions.

The Knowledge that everything is alive and has a purpose, simultaneously creating beauty and nourishment a connection so much larger than myself.

My entire existence is reliant on both the light and the tree.

When I decided which word to dedicate my blog too, so many seemed perfect but none really stuck in this inquisitive mind of mine. Then suddenly 

"JANUARY " stuck.

REALLY ? You must be kidding me. JANUARY means nothing to me, In fact dull dull, how on earth am I gonna find something exciting and inspiring to say about JANUARY.

Mmmm ok google let's see what we can come up with.

How wrong was I !

Totally intrigued this is what I found.

JANUARY is named after the Roman God, 

JANUS.

JANUS has two heads looking in opposite directions, representing the paradox that January brings about, endings and new beginnings.

The left face reflects on the past, the right on the future. Simultaneously connecting past and futute

I found this truly fascinating as most of us either focus to much on the past, or hang onto tomorrow.

JANUS represents the paradox that allows us to meditate on both, memories coming together in one simultaneous moment allowing us to extract What we need from the past, sending us into the future to flourish, free from the old, yet not dismissing the essence of both sides 

WOW JANUARY u truly blew my mind respect!!

And as for GOD JANUS from now on you are one of my favourites and pleased to meet you, see you 
again in 2018

Silence is golden or not...... when you are a blogger. For weeks now the right word has been more elusive than a Yogi finding enlightenment in the Himalayan mountains.

Then eureka, it arrived this morning with all its wisdom!!

FLAWED:

Having or characterised by a fundamental weakness or imperfection. 

WOW a bit harsh universe if you ask me, but hey I did ask for it.

I had to strip myself bare and face the harsh realities of my FLAWS

So here we go... between google and Wikipedia I would like to thank them for the information I collected.

The origin of the word flawed is perhaps old Norse "flaga" meaning flake of snow.

INTERESTING, can't be that bad then snowflakes are super special.

Further research exposed the flaws in diamonds, 'sweet as" I'm happy now as diamonds are exquisite FLAWED or not.

Little did I know just how FLAWED and how many flaws these lovely stones from the earth possess.

To mention just a few:

Pinpoint inclusions, needles, cloud knots, grain lines, feathers, inter-growths, cleavage, etch, channel and last but not least bearing.

 With  each of these flaws comes a very detailed discription indeed. Who would have thought.

If these little beauties are so FLAWED and get judged to hell and gone, what does that say about us mere mortals!!! Me and my many "flaws" are dammed to hell and back.

Then comes the best part, happiness and relieve flows back into my dammed soul.

Diamonds flaws are not always negative features. In fact, these flaws often lend a diamond it's distinct beauty and gives it that Brilliant shine.

So next time you and I are judged by our flaws, turn  your face to the sun sparkle and dazzle like never before and  radiate your awesomeness knowing the flaws you carry is The unique, complete YOU. Shine on sister.

What a"sweet as"fandabulous word! This is my most favourite word ever.

ABRACADABRA conjures magic, mystery and power. 

How, when or where the word ABRACADABRA came  into existence is as mystical as the use for it.

It"s origin has been claimed as an Aramaic phrase, the Hebrew language as well as the Romans and Greeks to name but a few. 

What we can not despute is that it has been forever part of our life's, and that it carries magic. 

It is used to give the impression of arcane knowledge and power.

It is used as a charm to ward of the most serious of illness. 

It is used as an incarnation by magicians.

For me the most exciting use for ABRACADABRA is its power to manifest and create.
From today it will  be my daily MANTRA, 'It comes to pass as it is spoken" TA DA

So here goes ABRACADABRA I now am the blessed owner of a FREE LIFE, unlimited abundance in every positive way shape and form in this eternity and any future cosmics! DONE.

GO ON ABRACADABRA whatever you choose and make it HUGE like the word itself!

My STORY starts with me. For the last month I have been walking on the shadow side of life, pondering, musing, questioning, feeling pissed of with the universe about both everything and nothing.

I'm done with you universe with all the  gratitude and adoration you need, honestly YOU are the fuckin universe what is up with you, pull your shit together, I'm optimistic, and on the whole a good person, and I feel there are just some of my requests that should be honoured. 

Bring back my muse!!! Nobody is inspired  by a moody mopey blogger. 

Well I guess even the universe gave a  sigh, rolled it's big old universe eyes and granted me my demand.

So thank you my super special muse for returning so I can write about you for we are one.

QUEST

MEANING : a long and  arduous search for something.

Expedition, adventure, journey, crusade

A mission that can involve battle and the outcome has to be FULL OF WORTH.

QUEST this word has been following me for a few weeks now, it just pops up randomly on a page in a book that I'm reading, a podcast I'm listening to, a random conversation. 

Ok QUEST i get your drift you want to be out there, talked about, so let's do this. I will do my best to convay your message

Have a think about your life, your quest.

The quest for: wisdom, happiness, freedom, success, a family, contentment, .... And so it goes on. The search, adventure, journey.

King Aurtor and his knights went on a quest to find the Holy Grail.

What is your Holy Grail? And is it full of worth? 

Is this exactly the purpose of life to go on a mission that could involve a battle.

 I believe it is, every single one of us go through our own battles, what you have to ask yourself is only this, is my battle full of worth?

THE MORAL OF THIS IS:

The  quest you are on, decide if it is just a product of this crazy world we live in?  is it truly yours or one that is expected from you?

 Re-assess and make the decision, if you going into a battle it has to be FULL OF WORTH and if it's not perfectly yours or perfectly positive, ditch it.

A pale sandy fawn colour- brownish yellow WOW what the hell does that even mean, but wait it doesn't stop there!! 

Fawn, oatmeal, sandy, sand, putty,what does some of these colours even mean? blah blah and so it goes on at least 20 something descriptions of the word BEIGE.

Who would have guessed BEIGE  doesn't even know what colour it's supposed to be.

Actually  perhaps that makes perfect sense.

Take a minute and think about yourself, what colour are you? compared to, what colour you would like to be. 

So let's go on chatting about BEIGE.

To my absolute delight and amusement the ' URBAN DICTIONARY' nailed this for me in one. 

A person that is normal to the point of being bland. No style, works a 9-5 job, does not express their individuality. These people can be found in Starbucks, often wearing neutral color clothes, perhaps from the GAP, while sipping a latte and discussing last nights t.v. shows as if the characters were their friends. In group settings it can be difficult to tell them apart. Beige people often never stray from their path or pack. These people commonly experience more eccentric life through others.

Don't get me wrong I love the BEIGIES, for one they make me shine even brighter when I'm around them, outrages in fact the entire spectrum of the rainbow. 

This is what I would like you to PONDER are you a true BEIGE or are you a rainbow wanting to break out of your BEIGE exsistance

I am that child that used to sit staring out the window of the classroom, dreaming the hours away, filling my head and heart with exciting places stories and possibilities.

That was until the the teachers ruler slammed down on my desk with an almighty bang making me jump out of my skin "HARSH' this of course was accompanied with a letter my parents had to sign complaining about their dreamer waisting the schools time and will certainly not achieve anything in this solid academic world.

Well nothing has changed I still am the dreamer extraodanair and spend hours visualising/dreaming 

Natuarally my next move was to google the meaning of dreaming 'not dreams' But DREAMTIME so... This is what I found, something so very special it made me smile my dreamy smile.... Enjoy 

The Dreamtime is the Aboriginal understanding of the world, of it's creation, and it's great stories. The Dreamtime is the beginning of knowledge, from which came the laws of existence. For survival these laws must be observed.

The Dreaming world was the old time of the Ancestor Beings. They emerged from the earth at the time of the creation. Time began in the world the moment these supernatural beings were "born out of their own Eternity". 

So the next time you lovely dreamer when u get frowned upon for dreaming your dream, do tell them if it wasn't for our dreamers this universe and their boring arses wouldn't have been here!
